Ice Cream Riddles

Here are seven riddles for kids where the answer is ice cream. These ideas are therefore perfect for using with all of our other dairy and food riddles.

The first six of these riddles rhyme, while the seventh is a What Am I riddle.

To use that final riddle, read the first line of it to your kids and ask them to try guessing what they think it is that’s being described. As the clue is that it’s something that’s frozen but which doesn’t need a blanket, they might guess that it’s a snowman, a pizza or an ice cube.

If they don’t guess that ice cream is the answer, read the second clue to your children and have them take another guess. Keep going until they either realize that the answer is ice cream or they run out of clues.

Coffee Riddles

Here are four riddles for kids where the answer is coffee, so these are perfect for using with our other beverage riddles.

The first three of these are rhyming riddles, while the fourth asks your kids What Am I?

To use that final idea, read the clue that’s on the first line to your children and ask them to try taking a guess at what they think the answer might be. As the clue is that it’s something that can be roasted but which isn’t a turkey, they might guess that the answer is chicken, potatoes or chestnuts.

If they don’t guess that coffee is the correct answer, read them the second clue and have them take another guess now that they have some extra information. Keep going until your kids either guess that the answer is coffee or they run out of clues.

Water Riddles

Here are seven riddles for kids where the answer is water. These brainteasers are therefore excellent for using with our other beverage and nature riddles.

The first five of these are rhyming riddles, while the sixth is a one line riddle that also rhymes.

The seventh idea is a What Am I riddle. To use that one, read the first line to your kids and have them take a guess at what they think the answer might be. As the clue is that it’s something that can be sparkling but which isn’t a star, they might guess that it’s glitter, a sequin or someone’s eyes.
