Mirror Riddles

We’re continuing our series of riddles for kids where the answers are items you’d find in your household, with today’s set all having the answer of a mirror.

The first five of these are rhyming riddles, then there are a couple of one liners. Finally, we’ve also created a What Am I? riddle.

To use that final idea, have your children read the first line and guess what they think is the answer. If they’re incorrect, they should read the second line and guess again.

Your kids should keep going until they either guess correctly that mirror is the answer, or until they run out of clues.

Bathtub Riddles

We’re starting a new series today focusing on household items, with the first few sets of riddles being based on things that you might find in the bathroom.

These are therefore perfect for using as part of a rainy day activity with your kids, perhaps as an around-the-house scavenger hunt.

We’re kicking off the series with a collection of riddles for kids that all have ‘bathtub’ as their answer. The first three of these rhyme, while the fourth asks What Am I?

To use the What Am I? riddle with your children, read them the first line and ask them to guess what they think it is that you’re describing.

If they guess incorrectly, give them the second clue and ask them to guess again. Keep doing this until they work out that ‘bathtub’ is the answer, or until they run out of clues.

Banana Riddles

We’re finishing our series of food riddles for now, with today’s bunch all having the answer of ‘banana.’

These are therefore also good to use if you’re looking for some riddles specifically abut fruit.

The first three of these are rhyming riddles, while the fourth is a What Am I? riddle.

With that fourth option, read the first line of it to your kids and get them to take a guess at what it is that’s being described.

If they’re not right, move on to the second clue and have them guess again. Keep going until they correctly guess ‘banana’ as the answer, or until they run out of clues.
