Pillow Riddles

We’re continuing our series of household item riddles today with four where the answer is a pillow. These are therefore also perfect for using with our other bedroom riddles.

The first three of these are rhyming riddles, with the word ‘pillow’ completing the rhyme of the third one, while the fourth asks your kids What Am I?

To use that fourth idea, read the clue that’s on the first line to your children and have them take a guess at the answer. As the clue is that it’s something that’s soft but which isn’t a kitten, they might guess that it’s a cotton ball, a marshmallow or a bunny.

If they don’t guess that a pillow is the answer, read them the second clue and have them take another guess now that they have extra information. Keep doing this until they either guess that the answer is a pillow or they run out of clues.

Bedroom Riddles

Our series of riddles for kids about things that can be found around the house continues today with five where the answer is a bedroom. These are therefore ideal for using with all of our other room riddles.

The first four of these are rhyming riddles, with the word ‘bedroom’ completing the rhyme of the fourth riddle.

The fifth of these asks your children What Am I? To use that one, read the first line to your children and have them guess the answer. As the clue is that it’s something that’s used at night but which isn’t a flashlight, they might guess that it’s a pillow, earplugs or a toothbrush.

If they don’t guess that a bedroom is the answer, read them the clue on the second line and have them take another guess now that they have additional information. Keep doing this until they either guess that the answer is a bedroom or they run out of clues.

For the last month, we’ve been publishing a series of household item riddles. We’re continuing that series today and moving from the kitchen to the bedroom with a set of riddles where the answer is a closet.

The first four of these are rhyming riddles, with the word ‘closet’ completing the rhyme of fourth.

The fifth of these is a What Am I riddle. To use that one, read the first line of it to your kids and ask them to guess what they think the answer might be.

As the clue is that it’s something which has a door but which isn’t a car, they might try guessing that it’s a cupboard, a room or an airplane.

Our series of riddles for kids about household items continues today with another item that can be found in a kitchen – a spoon.

The first four of these rhyme, while the fifth is a What Am I riddle.

To use that final idea, read the clue that’s on the first line to your children and have them take a guess at the answer. As the clue is that it’s something that gets hot but doesn’t sweat, they might guess that it’s a fire, a BBQ, a sauna or a toaster.

If they don’t guess that an oven is the answer, read them the second clue and have them guess again. Keep going until they either answer correctly or they run out of clues.
