Necklace Riddles

February 2, 2016 By Stephen Pepper

Here’s a set of five riddles for kids where the answer is necklace. These are therefore perfect for using with our other riddles with a jewelry and Valentine’s Day theme.

The first four of them rhyme, while the fifth asks your children What Am I? To use that final idea, read the first line to your kids and ask them to guess what they think the answer should be.

As the clue is that it’s something which gets worn but which isn’t a pair of shoes, they might guess that it’s a T-shirt, a pair of jeans, some socks or one of many other things.

If they don’t guess that necklace is the answer, read them the second clue and ask them to guess again. Keep going until they either get the correct answer or they run out of clues.

Heart Riddles

February 10, 2015 By Stephen Pepper

For the last few weeks, we’ve been publishing a series of Valentine’s Day riddles that you can use for fun activities with your kids.

We’re continuing that series today with several different riddles where the answer is ‘heart’.

These are therefore also good for using if planning games or activities with a human body or anatomy theme.

The first four of these are rhyming riddles, with the fourth using the word ‘heart’ to complete the rhyme.

The final one is a What Am I? riddle. To use that one, your child should read the first line and take a guess as to what they think the answer is.

If they’re not correct, they should read the second line and guess again. Keep going until they either get the right answer or run out of clues.

Chocolate Riddles

February 5, 2015 By Stephen Pepper

Our Valentine’s Day riddles theme continues today with some clues where the answer to each one is chocolate.

The first couple of these rhyme, with the third being a What Am I? riddle.

To use the What Am I? riddle, read your kids the first line and have them guess what they think the answer is. If they’re not correct, read them the second line and have them guess again.

Continue doing this until they either get the right answer or they run out of clues.

Vase Riddles

February 3, 2015 By Stephen Pepper

Continuing with our Valentine’s Day theme, here are some riddles for kids where the answer to each one is ‘vase’.

The first three of these are rhyming riddles, while the fourth asks What Am I?

To use the fourth idea, your child should read the first line (or you could read it to them) and then guess what item they think is being described.

If they’re incorrect, they should read the second clue and guess again. Keep going until your kid either guesses the correct answer or runs out of clues.

Roses Riddles

January 29, 2015 By Stephen Pepper

Carrying on with our Valentine’s Day theme, here are some riddles for kids where the answer for each one is rose or roses.

The first four of these are rhyming riddles (with the word ‘roses’ completing the rhyme of the fourth), while the fifth asks What Am I?

To use the final idea, your kids should read the first line and take a guess at what they think the answer is. If they’re incorrect, they need to read the second clue and guess again. They should keep going until they guess correctly or run out of clues.
