Spider Riddles

Here are several spider riddles that have been written specially for kids.

Most of these rhyme, but there’s also a ‘What Am I’ riddle – ask your kids this riddle one line at a time to see how many clues they need in order for them to work out the answer.

As these riddles are all about spiders, they’re great for all kinds of themes like:

In the center of a web
Are several trapped little flies
Heading in to eat them all
Is this creature with bulging eyes

This common little arachnid
An intricate web it does weave
And when many people see one
The room that they are in they leave!

This is a common little bug
That many people fear
This fear has a special name
It’s arachnophobia

What Am I?

I’m something a lot of people are scared of but I’m not heights
I sometimes bite but I’m not a snake
I have eight legs but I’m not two chairs
I eat flies but I’m not a frog
I have a web but I don’t have anything to do with the internet

Mummy Riddles

Here are several different mummy riddles for kids.

These are perfect for when you’re organizing scary games, monster activities, Halloween parties or asking riddles about movies.

One of these is a riddle that asks the question What Am I? If you want to use this one, read the first line to your kids and get them to guess what they think the answer is.

If they get it wrong, read out the second clue and have them guess again. Continue doing this until they guess that the answer is ‘mummy’, or they run out of clues.

Beneath these are all kinds of different mummy goodies – movies, toys, educational items, costumes and more.

Many of these would make good prizes, especially when playing games like the toilet paper mummy.

If you are an archaeologist

Beware this monster wrapped in linen

Here are a number of different skeleton riddles for kids.

These could be used as part of some Halloween party games and activities or when looking for fun ways to learn about anatomy and the human body.

Skeleton Riddles For Kids

This body has no ears or tongue
So he’s not able to use phones
Tickling doesn’t work on him
Because he’s only made of bones

To see what a ribcage looks like
This body can help clue you in
As all you can see are its bones
It doesn’t have muscle or skin

You can see my humerus
But it doesn’t mean I’m funny
I’ve got no skin so I don’t get tanned
When outside it’s hot and sunny
