Football Riddles

June 2, 2015 By Stephen Pepper

Today’s collection of riddles for kids can all be answered with ‘football.’

These ideas can therefore be matched well with our other riddles with a sports, game or Thanksgiving theme.

All of these rhyme, with the final idea also being a one line riddle.

Deck Of Cards Riddles

May 28, 2015 By Stephen Pepper

Today’s set of riddles for kids all have a deck of playing cards as their answer.

These are therefore perfect for using our other game and toy riddles.

The first three of these are rhyming riddles, while the fourth asks What Am I?

To use the fourth idea, read the first clue to your children and get them to guess what they think the answer is. If they’re not correct, read them the second clue and get them to take another guess.

Keep doing this until they either get the right answer or they run out of clues.

4 Deck Of Cards Riddles For Kids

Deck Of Cards Riddles

This consists of fifty-two things
Half are black and half are red
Most have numbers or a letter
And the rest all have a head

~

This is used for many games
Like Go Fish, Snap and Poker
It contains four different suits
And sometimes there’s a joker

~

If you’re bored and have a set of these
There are many things that can be played
Each has a number, letter or head
And a diamond, club, heart or a spade

~

What Am I?

I have kings and queens but I’m not a chess board
I have 52 things in me but I’m not weeks in a year
I’m mostly red and black but I’m not Darth Maul
I have diamonds but I don’t shine
I have aces but I’m not a tennis match

Balloon Riddles

May 26, 2015 By Stephen Pepper

We’re blowing things up today with a set of riddles that all have ‘balloon’ as their answer.

These are therefore great for using with our other riddles for kids which have a game or toy theme.

The first four of these rhyme, while the fifth is a What Am I? riddle. Here’s how to use that final option:

Read the first line of it to your kids (or have them read it themselves) and have them guess what they think is being described.

If they’re not correct, read them the second line and have them guess again. Keep going until they guess correctly or run out of clues.

If you’re using any of these riddles as an activity for your children, check out Youth Workin’ It for all kinds of ideas for balloon games.

But do not let it pop
When it’s filled with helium
It floats up to the top

Let go and I float higher
