Kiwi Fruit Riddles

February 18, 2016 By Stephen Pepper

We’re starting a new series of riddles for kids today, with all of these being different types of fruit. We’re starting off the series today with five that all have kiwi fruit as the answer.

The first four of them rhyme, with the fifth being a What Am I riddle.

To use that fifth idea, read the first clue to your children and ask them to guess what they think the answer is. As the clue is that it’s similar in size to a large egg but isn’t a pebble, they might guess that it’s a paperweight, a hamster or a tomato.

If they don’t guess that the answer is a kiwi fruit, read them the second clue and ask them to guess again. Keep going until they either realize that kiwi fruit is the answer or they run out of clues.

England Riddles

October 13, 2015 By Stephen Pepper

Today we have six riddles for kids where the answer to each one is England.

These are perfect for using with all of our other country and geography riddles, with some of them also being good for using with other themes like food, sports and books.

The first five of them rhyme with the sixth asking your kids What Am I?

To use that last idea, read the first line to your children and ask them to take a guess at the answer. There are many countries that have a red and white flag, so if they don’t guess that the answer is England, read them the clue on the second line and ask them to take another guess.

Keep doing this until they either guess the right answer or they run out of clues.

Fish Riddles

July 14, 2015 By Stephen Pepper

For the last few weeks we’ve been publishing a series of animal riddles for kids, a theme we’re continuing today with several that have ‘fish’ as the answer.

These can therefore also be matched with some of our other themes like nature and food.

There are six of them in total – the first five are rhyming ones, while the sixth is a What Am I? riddle.

To use that last one, read the first line of it to your kids and ask them to guess what they think it is that you’re describing.

If they’re not correct, read the second line to them and ask them to guess again. Continue with this until they either work out that the answer is fish or they run out of clues.

Frog Riddles

June 30, 2015 By Stephen Pepper

Our series of animal riddles continues today with a collection where the answer to each one is frog.

The first four of these are rhyming riddles, while the fifth asks What Am I?

To use the final riddle, read the first line of it to your children and ask them to guess what it is they think you’re describing.

If their guess is incorrect, read them the second line and ask them to guess again. Keep doing this until they either guess the right answer or until they run out of clues.

Pig Riddles

June 23, 2015 By Stephen Pepper

We’re continuing our series of animal riddles for kids today with five that all have ‘pig’ as the answer.

In addition to the animal theme, these ideas also match well with our farm, nature and food riddles.

The first four of these are rhyming riddles, with the fifth asking your children “What Am I?”

To use the last riddle, read the first clue to your kids and get them to take a guess at what they think is being described.

If they’re incorrect, read them the second line and have them guess again. Keep going until they guess correctly that you’re describing a pig or until they run out of clues.
