We’re continuing our series of fruit riddles today with a few where the answer is a grape.

The first couple of them rhyme, while the third one is a What Am I riddle.

To use that final idea, read the first line of it to your kids and ask them to take a guess at what they think the answer would be.

As the clue is that it’s something round which isn’t a ball, they might guess that it’s a wheel, a tomato, a clock, a dartboard or any number of other round objects.

If they don’t guess that a grape is the answer, read them the clue on the second line and ask them to take another guess. Keep going until they either guess that the correct answer is a grape or they run out of clues.

Our series of fruit riddles continues today with four where the answer is a pear.

The last couple of them mention homophones, while the first one also makes a reference to the word ‘pear’ sounding like something. This might therefore mean that you need to explain homophones to your children – check out this explanation to help you.

The first three of these are rhyming riddles (with the word ‘raisin’ completing the rhyme of the third one), while the fourth asks your kids What Am I?

Our series of fruit riddles for kids continues today with five where the answer is a lemon. These therefore also go well with our other food riddles.

The first four of them rhyme;  if you use the second idea, you might need to explain to your kids that the answer is an anagram of ‘melon.’

The fifth idea is a What Am I riddle. To use that one, read the clue that’s on the first line to your children and ask them to guess the answer.

As that clue is that it’s something that’s yellow but which isn’t a rubber duck, they might guess that it’s a sunflower, a pepper or a banana.

If they don’t guess that a lemon is the answer, read them the second clue and have them take another guess. Keep going until they either get the correct answer or they run out of clues.
