Tuna Riddles

March 31, 2015 By Stephen Pepper

We have another set of riddles for kids today that have a food theme, with the answer to all of these being ‘tuna’.

The first two of these are rhyming riddles, while the third asks your children What Am I?

To use that final option, they should read the first line and guess what it is they think is being described.

If they’re not right, they should read the second line and guess again. Keep going until they either get the correct answer or they run out of clues.

Open up the can

One brand that sells this
Is Chicken Of The Sea

~

It’s the name of a type of fish
That’s packed in a can so tight
It sounds like the name of someone
Who makes a piano sound right

~

What Am I?

I come in a can but I’m not something you drink
I can be a steak but I’m not beef
I can be flaked but I’m not coconut
I can be chunked but I’m not ham
I can be part of sushi but I’m not rice
I swim but I’m not a shark

Easter Bunny Riddles

March 3, 2015 By Stephen Pepper

In no time at all it’s going to be Easter which is a great time to organize fun games and activities for your kids.

If you need any riddles for those activities, here are some where the answer is the Easter Bunny. There are some rhyming riddles, a one-liner and a What Am I? Riddle.

To use the What Am I? idea, read the first line of it to your children and get them to take a guess at what they think is being described.

If they’re incorrect, read them the second line and have them guess again. Keep going until they either get the right answer or run out of clues.

Be sure to also check out our sister site Scavenger Hunt for all kinds of fun Easter scavenger hunt ideas.

Polar Bear Riddles

January 1, 2015 By Stephen Pepper

Here are a few riddles for kids where the answer is ‘Polar Bear’.

These could either be used as standalone riddles or with riddles of a similar theme like animals, winter or nature.

The first two of these rhyme, while the final one asks children the question “What Am I?”

To work out the What Am I riddle, they should read the first line and guess what they think the answer should be.

If they’re not correct, they should read the second line and take another guess. Have them keep going until they either get the right answer or they run out of clues.

And have a very strong bite

December 15, 2013 By Stephen Pepper

Penguin Riddles For Kids

My wings are used as flippers
So in water I can flow
Sometimes when on land I slide
On my belly in the snow

~

Even though I have two wings
I’m a bird that cannot fly
I often like to swim though
And on ice is where I dry

~

It’s cold and icy where we live
So we have to huddle in tight
We have wings but we cannot fly
So we can’t soar to a great height

~

What Am I?

I’m usually black and white but I’m not a newspaper
I have wings but I’m not an airplane
I lay eggs but I’m not a chicken
I eat fish but I’m not a whale
I appeared in the movie Madagascar but I’m not a zebra

When going around the world
This animal can find the way
It goes to every country
While helping pull Santa’s sleigh

~

One of these is Cupid
But it doesn’t have a bow
Instead it pulls a sleigh
Through the air and lands on snow

~

You might never see one of these
As you should be asleep in bed
They stop by your house once a year
And one has a nose that is red

~

This animal sounds like it’s going to precipitate on someone important to you
