Here are some riddles for kids where an envelope is the answer. These are therefore perfect for using with our other household item and office riddles.
The first three of these are rhyming riddles, with the word ‘envelope’ completing the rhyme of the third, while the fourth is a What Am I riddle.
To use that final idea, read the clue that’s on the first line to your children and have them try guessing the answer. As the clue is that it’s something that has things put inside it but which isn’t a cupboard, they might guess that it’s a bag, an oven or a trash can.
If they don’t guess that the answer is an envelope, read them the second clue and ask them to take another guess. Keep doing this until they either work out that an envelope is the answer or they run out of clues.
