Blood Riddles

Here are seven riddles for kids where blood is the answer for each one. These are therefore ideal for using with our other human body and Halloween riddles.

The first five of these are rhyming riddles, with the word ‘blood’ completing the rhyme of the fifth.

The sixth is a one line riddle that contains an internal rhyme, with the seventh asking your children What Am I?

To use that What Am I riddle, read the first line to your kids and have them try to guess what they think the answer might be. As the clue is that it’s something red but which isn’t a strawberry, they might guess that it’s a sports car, rose, stop sign or a fire truck.

If they don’t guess that the answer is blood, read them the clue on the second line and ask them to take another guess now that they have some additional information. Keep going until they either work out that blood is the answer or they run out of clues.

Tornado Riddles

We’re continuing our series of weather riddles today with five that all have tornado as the answer.

In addition to the weather theme, the first idea could also be used with our other Wizard Of Oz riddles.

The first four of these are rhyming riddles, while the fifth asks your children What Am I?

To use that final idea, read the clue on the first line to your kids and ask them to guess the answer. As the clue is that it’s something with an eye but which can’t see, they might guess that it’s a potato, a needle or a storm.

If they don’t guess that the answer is a tornado, read them the clue on the second line and ask them to take another guess. Keep doing this until they either work out the correct answer or they run out of clues.

Shark Riddles

Our series of animal riddles has proven to be very popular, so we’re continuing with that theme today with seven where ‘shark’ is the answer.

These riddles for kids therefore fit in well with many of our other themes, such as nature, movies, beach and scary.

The first five of these are rhyming ones, there’s a one liner and it’s rounded off by a What Am I? riddle.

To use the last idea, read the first line of it to your children and get them to take a guess at what they think the answer is.

The reference to teeth might make them say something like a comb, mouth or lion. If that’s the case and they don’t guess that the answer’s shark, read them the second clue and ask them to guess again.

Keep doing this until they either guess that shark is the correct answer or they run out of clues.
