Needle Riddles

Here are five riddles for kids where the answer is a needle. These ideas are therefore perfect for using with our other medical, household item and clothing riddles.

The first four of these are rhyming riddles, while the fifth is a What Am I riddle.

To use that final idea, read the clue that’s on the first line to your children and ask them to try guessing what they think the answer might be. As the clue is that it’s something thin but which isn’t a piece of wire, they might guess that it’s a piece of string, a pencil or a nail.

If they don’t guess that a needle is the answer, read them the second clue and have them take another guess. Keep doing this until they either work out that the answer’s a needle or they run out of clues.
