Here are ten riddles for kids where the answer is a door, so they’re great for using with all of our other household item riddles.
The first eight of them are rhyming riddles, with the word ‘door’ completing the rhyme of the eighth. The ninth is a one line riddle that has an internal rhyme.
The tenth and final one is a What Am I riddle. To use that, read the first line of it to your kids and have them take a guess at what they think the answer might be. As the clue is that it’s something that’s made of wood but which isn’t a picnic table, they might guess that it’s a desk, a photo frame or a boomerang.
If they don’t guess that a door is the answer, read them the second clue and ask them to guess again now that they have some additional information. Keep going until they either work out that the answer is a door or they run out of clues.
