Here are several different riddles for kids where the answer is ‘bell’ or ‘bells’.
These are therefore great for using with all our other Christmas riddles.
Most of these are rhyming riddles, while the final one is a What Am I? riddle.
To use the What Am I? idea, read the first line of it to your kids and have them guess what they think the answer is.
If they guess incorrectly, read them the second clue and have them guess again. Keep going until they work out the correct answer or they run out of clues.
Bell Riddles For Kids
Shiny and metallic
But not a piece of bling
They’re there to make a noise
Shake them and they will ring
~
These things are made of metal
You might have lots or just a single
If you give them a good shake
The noise that they make is a jingle
~
If you hear these jingling around
The night just before Christmas Day
You had better try to get to sleep
As you are hearing Santa’s sleigh
~
They might mark the start of church
Or signal day’s end at schools
You might have one by the door
So you know when someone calls
~
What Am I?
I’m made of metal but I’m not a saucepan
I have a lip but I don’t have any teeth
I have a clapper but I don’t have any hands
I can ring but I’m not a phone
I can peal but I’m not a banana
I can jingle but I’m not music in an advertisement
